Please review these Terms and Conditions governing your access to and use of the SAVY PDF Workspace.

Core Architecture Summary:
SAVY executes all document operations locally within your browser memory. Your PDF files, images, signatures, and extracted data are processed locally and are never uploaded to SAVY servers.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SAVY website and tools hosted at savy-pdf-editor.pages.dev (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service & Local Processing Architecture

SAVY is a free, privacy-first web application providing client-side PDF document manipulation tools including viewing, annotating, merging, splitting, compressing, converting, and redacting.

Unlike conventional cloud PDF tools, SAVY does not transmit your document contents to remote servers for processing. All operations execute inside your client browser environment using WebAssembly, HTML5 Canvas, and client-side JavaScript engines.

3. Document Ownership & User Responsibility

You retain full 100% ownership, intellectual property rights, and title to any file, document, image, or text you open, edit, or generate with SAVY.

4. Permitted and Prohibited Use

SAVY is provided free of charge for personal, educational, and commercial document editing. You agree not to:

5. Open Source Libraries & Intellectual Property

The SAVY web application combines custom application code with trusted open-source libraries:

All referenced trademarks, service marks, and trade names remain the property of their respective owners.

6. Service Availability & Offline PWA Capability

SAVY includes Progressive Web App (PWA) caching capabilities, allowing core workspace tools to function even when disconnected from the Internet. We strive for high availability via global content delivery networks, but make no representations that the Service will remain uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously accessible.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

SAVY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT DOCUMENT CONVERSIONS, RENDERING, SANITIZATION, OR REDACTIONS WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR SUITABLE FOR STRICT LEGAL, COMPLIANCE, OR REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS WITHOUT INDEPENDENT USER VERIFICATION.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SAVY, ITS CREATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, DOCUMENT CORRUPTION, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service following posted modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Open Governance & Contact

SAVY is maintained as an open-source, privacy-first web application. For questions regarding our client-side architecture, bug reports, or feature requests, please submit an issue on the public GitHub project repository.
